Hello friends. First image is an update of the tavern sketches I was doing before, haven't uploaded in a while due to updating some parts for my PC and reinstalling alot of software.

Finished the black and white version now adding color. 

I can see a improvement in my color choices in this piece and i like how it shows the characters in a scene.

I play alot of League of Legends but haven't created much fanart or my own character designs. These sketches are of Twitch the sneaky rat with a poisonous crossbow! I play him alot but have never been inclined to buy any of his skins, so I will be designing my own.

First Post WiP

Hello This is my new blog, where I can hopefully show you my development as an artist. This first post shows my attempt at completing a more illustrative piece of my characters. In the past at University I focused on individual characters both 2D and 3D, I was happy with my progress in character design projects, but want to start doing more overall conceptual pieces and illustrative pieces with characters.

The first step is too create many thumbnails! even if you have a specific image in mind it is important to explore more possibilities incase you find a more suitable composition. I have recently learned a lot from Kienan Lafferty (check his youtube!) and several books from James Gurney, so check them out if you want to learn some new ideas and approaches.

Second step is to refine the thumbnails you like until you have a sketch and some ideas for the overall tones, i will test some color next!
